Job description
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing operations across multiple locations while maintaining strict control of costs. We are looking for an excellent leader who can empower the team and help unlock the full potential of the staff. Forward-thinking and strategic planning are crucial in this current phase of the organization.
Under the Operations Manager, there are four team leaders responsible for Rooms, F&B, Kitchen, and Leisure. You will be part of the Management Team, which also includes an Assistant and General Director. Your entire department consists of a team of approximately 40 full-time employees, with over 80 enthusiastic and loyal staff members.
Candidate profile
As a person, you are proactive and take initiative. It is an advantage if you have experience developing and successfully implementing a new strategy for an organization. You are progressive and optimistic, with strong belief in the potential of the organization to grow and achieve even greater success. Above all, you are guest-oriented, see opportunities, and have a "glass half full" mentality. You are well known for your calmness, maintain oversight, and have an eye for detail. You make decisions and are a natural leader, keeping promises. You are flexible, socially engaged, and genuinely interested. You have excellent communication skills, with empathy and strong stakeholder management abilities.
- You have a higher education (HBO/WO) working and thinking level, speak excellent Dutch, and are familiar with business rules, guidelines, relevant laws and regulations, and financial data and insights.
- You have at least 5-8 years of management experience and are skilled at fostering collaboration between departments.
- You are a natural leader, capable of creating and developing teams. You drive improvements in staff management, ensuring a step-up in service quality. You implement multiple processes and procedures, so everyone understands the expectations and desired level of service.
- You are commercially minded and entrepreneurial. You understand guest needs, spot market opportunities, consider environmental factors, and make the right financial analyses.
- You are skilled at structuring data and using it as a basis for reports, analyses, projects, and future policies.
